Hong Kong, 21 July, 2022 - Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Ltd. is pleased to announce that, a total of five products of the Group won the bid of the seventh batch of national centralized drug procurement, including: octreotide acetate injection (1ml: 0.1mg), tenofovir alafenamide fumarate tablet (25mg), fondaparinux sodium injection (0.5ml: 2.5mg), lacosamide tablet (50mg), and metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablet (47.5mg) (the Group was granted exclusive marketing rights in the mainland area of China by Pharmadax (Foshan) Co., Ltd.).
Octreotide acetate injection (1ml: 0.1mg) is mainly used for the treatment of acromegaly, relieve symptoms related to functional gastroenteropancreatic endocrine tumors, prevention of post-operative complications of pancreatic surgery and gastro-oesophageal variceal bleeding. It is included in Category B of the National Reimbursement Drug List (“NRDL”) of China. According to IQVIA data, the product’s terminal sales in public hospitals in China were approximately RMB1.9 billion in 2021.
Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate tablet (25mg) is a type of highly effective anti-hepatitis B drug, and is listed in the Category B of the NRDL. According to IQVIA data, the compound annual growth rate (“CAGR”) of the drug’s terminal sales in public hospital in China reached 376.51% from 2019 to 2021.
Fondaparinux sodium injection (0.5ml: 2.5mg) is used in patients undergoing major orthopaedic surgery of the lower limbs such as hip fracture surgery, major knee surgery or hip replacement surgery, and for the prevention of venous thromboembolism. It is a Category B drug in the NRDL. According to IQVIA data, the CAGR of the drug’s terminal sales in public hospitals in China reached 130.52% from 2019 to 2021.
Lacosamide tablet (50 mg) is indicated for the combined treatment of partial seizures in epilepsy patients aged 16 years and above, and is listed in Category B of the NRDL. According to IQVIA data, its terminal sales in public hospitals in China increased 363.92% year-on-year from 2020 to 2021.
Metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablet (47.5mg) is mainly used for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris and chronic heart failure with stable symptoms associated with abnormal left ventricular systolic function, and it is listed in the Category B of NRDL. According to IQVIA data, its terminal sales in public hospitals in China were RMB2.2 billion, RMB2.5 billion and RMB2.8 billion, respectively, from 2019 to 2021.
